1) The lyrics tell us that every Sunday afternoon we can find Roy at the racetrack. What are your plans for Sunday? Bad week to ask. I mean, the football season is over. What’s a poor guy to do? Well, I can’t speak for anybody else, but I asked the twins over. I know. It had been a long time coming, so-to-speak. But they gotta forgive one stupid little marriage. Guess what? They did! They’re coming by at one!
2) Roy is fearless behind the wheel of his ’57 Chevrolet. But it’s just natural to feel fear every now and again. What scares you? Women with large breasts. And, I always seem to be with them. But the one last weekend suddenly made a U-turn in the shower that I was almost knocked out. And I was shaving at the sink at the time.
3) Roy’s been photographed grinning with a toothpick in his mouth. Do you often use toothpicks? If so, do you carry them with you? Riveting question. Roy has also been photographed driving. And yes, he carries his car along with him.
4) Legend has it Roy learned to drive fast when he ran moonshine out of Alabama. Moonshine usually refers to illegally produced whiskey. What was the last alcoholic beverage you drank? It’s Friday night as I write. It’s a Smirnoff night for sure.5) This week’s featured artist, Jim Croce, attended Villanova University, where he played in a band that performed at fraternity parties. When his band was chosen to tour Africa as part of a cultural exchange program, he was excited to learn his host countries’ customs. Have you ever traveled overseas? What did your trip teach you? Never sleep with the tour guy’s wife. Funny that I need to point that out. He made such a fucking stink. I told him that to get even, he was welcome to sleep with any one of mine.
6) Jim met his future wife, Ingrid, at a party. They discovered that they both loved Joan Baez and Woody Guthrie. Tell us about one of your friends, and what you two bonded over.
Bouncing Billy has been my closest friend since Johnnie Walker passed. Unlike most of the guys, we do a lot outside of WTIT. Mostly it’s centered on sports. Since we met at eight years-old playing on the same football team, we have that in common. He & his son came over to watch the Superbowl here.
7) Early in their marriage, while Jim was working hard to launch his music career, Ingrid helped make ends meet by baking bread and canning fruits and vegetables. Do you have any frugal cooking tips or “cheap eats” recipes to share? Absolutely none. My idea of dinner is calling Grubhub.
8) In 1972, Mark Spitz became a sensation, winning seven Gold Medals for swimming. After making money in endorsements and TV appearances, he settled into a career as a realtor in Los Angeles. Are you contemplating a change in residence anytime soon? That would be a huge yes. But I still don’t know much. Once my son and family find a home, then I’ll know where to look in Phoenix. But they sold their house, for over listing its first weekend. So the journey has begun…
9) Random question: Which of these “top ten” lists would you prefer to be on — the sexiest, the smartest or the richest? At my age, I’ll take the richest. Final answer, Regis.
Hope things are good with you. Superbowl was kind. Since gambling is legal in CT, for the first time, I made three Superbowl bets. Winning team (Cincinnati +4) Odell Beckham under 65 yards and the score (combined) under 48 points. I won them all! So I made $125! I know. Save it for a rainy damn day. Join us the next time. Maybe we’ll do better. See you then. Same time. Same blog.

#7 Good choice, I did delivery pizza for dinner and this morning clod pizza for breakfast… Mmm!
#8 I thought you were moving down to Arizona?
I am. In July.
When are you heading West, young man?
I am guessing July. But I have to sell this place first…
That’s a long time to have a friend, from since you were 8.
We weren’t close then. We were about 14 when we really were solid.
I pick the money at my age too. Glad you enjoyed the Superbowl! Loved your answers! Have a nice weekend.

At your age, you’d have a long time to enjoy it!
