  1. Hi, Bud and welcome back! It’s not the same around here without you. I’m glad you’re enjoying retirement…it sounds like it agrees with you.

I do hate that you know who committed the crime on Columbo, but I get the biggest kick out of seeing how he “plays” with the murderer. He lets them think he’s a complete boob and gives them plenty of rope to hang themselves. They are always completely shocked that the raincoat wearing, cigar smoking, moron could trap their far superior selves.

Anyway…good to see you back. I’ll be cruising up your way next week. Keep the weather sunny and warm (but not this god awful heat and humidity) please?

  2. Bud is back, both his Cubs and my Yankees are in first place, and the world is a glorious place. Which leads me to this: while I like the alliteration of Bud Boston, I just don’t see it happening. Would that be like me changing my name to something tied to the (gulp!) Cardinals?

Glad you’re enjoying retirement and that you’re nourishing your creativity.

I had kind of a melancholy 4th, too. The friend I’ve been spending it with since the 1980s has been having trouble with his heart and couldn’t deal with the heat, humidity and crowds. Not to put too fine a point on it, but all he’s been able to do is work and sleep lately. Hopefully, as his body adjusts to the meds, he’ll feel better. But the problems that go with growing older are tough.

  3. Howdy Bud! It sounds like you are moving again. I hope that goes well. It is nice to see you. I’m glad you’re enjoying retirement and I hope you’re feeling better.

  4. “Welcome back, your dreams were your ticket out
Welcome back, to that same old place that you laughed about
Well the names have all changed since you hung around
But those dreams have remained and they’ve turned around…”

How could I have forgotten Dr. Who.

  5. Hi Bud, it brought a smile to my face to see your name back in lights 🙂 I’ve had a few blogs since way back when, but I always manage to get this and Sunday Stealing done. Glad you’re enjoying your retirement!!
