Sunday Stealing: The Doodley-Do Meme

I have idea who this kid is.
Do you keep notes, drawings or letters that people give you? We are off to a rip roaring start. I don’t remember a note being passed to me since fifth grade. The only “drawings” I ever received were from my kids. I kept them on the fridge door and then tossed them. Letters? Really? Who writes a letter in this century? So, no to question 1. It’s all downhill from here.
How many true best friends are present in your life? I’m very lucky in this area. Johnnie Walker was my best man at my last wedding. We’ve been friends since 1968. Harvey Wallbanger is the first friend I had after my first marriage in 1993. He was an ex of my first girlfriend. I met Rock Rolling in 1981 while playing poker. My past besties and I are still in touch thanks to facebook. Bouncing Billy and I were tight from freshman year in high school and along with Gypsy, Gary, Johnnie were in my first wedding in 1973.

By 1975 he and I lost touch. But in 2013 we met for drinks and when he came back to WTIT we’ve been very close. And then there is Kathy. Her support as I quit alcohol (due to medical situations) has been great. We are friends first. If you watched my latest appearance on her YouTube show this week (click here) and read the comments, you will get the idea.
Do you currently have a significant other? Yes.
Would you be able to stand being in the same room as someone you hate? Yes. I have many times. But there are not a lot of people I hate. Mostly I’m indifferent to people I don’t like.
Do you depend on people at all, in any way? Every day in every way. My friends, my family and people that I work with are who I depend on.
Have you ever lost a close friend? Yes, but not to death. There are exes that just being married have drifted away. And guys who have exited WTIT I have lost touch with. In the 80s newcomers Cos, Bob and B.B. replaced Billy, Gary and Gypsy. We recorded every week and did some of our best stuff. Cos and I are still friends. Kathy and I went to his daughter’s wedding a couple of years ago. Bob and B.B. I haven’t heard from since 1990. Rock and his brother Midnight replaced them at WTIT.
Has anybody ever held a grudge against you for a dumb reason? Yes. My first wife is just plain evil. She even tried to help my second wife during that divorce. Number Two said that

My first look at the Pacific Ocean with James last month.
while she was pissed at me for leaving she hated my first wife so much she said “no” to the “help”. Kathy as recently as this weekend mentioned that she hates her too. Why my ex hasn’t let go, I have no idea. She’s been married to her second husband for 22 years. He at one time asked me how to deal with her. I replied that if I knew that I’d still be married to her. We only lasted 18. When I was in San Diego my son James said she is bi-polar. It explains a lot. She is the only person that I hate.
Have you ever stayed up late talking to someone you like on the phone or online? Of course. A fifth grader wrote this fucker.
Have you ever felt backstabbed by a close friend? Other than my aforementioned first wife, no.
Have you ever regretted ignoring anybody? I don’t think so.
Has a friend of yours ever confessed their love to you? Most of my female friends were exes, so no.
Have you written or drawn anything for somebody else? See question 1.
Do you tend to hide your emotions from certain people? How do you hide them? Only at work. Nobody cares what I think so I try hard not to show emotions.
Do your friends know how to make you smile in tough times? Yes.
Could you picture yourself on a reality TV show? Yes. I really believe that Kathy is going to become famous for her show. She is so likeable and gives everything to it. She doesn’t believe it even though all the cosmetic companies are sending her stuff to review. She gets package nearly daily and is like a kid on Christmas each time. Her joy is contagious.
Are you better at drawing or coloring? No.
Do you prefer meat or seafood? I cannot decide. So I’ll say “yes”.
Have you ever read the Bill of Rights / Declaration of Independence? Yes. I did graduate elementary school.
Would you rather become a police officer or a firefighter? Police. As is detective work, which I find fascinating. My new favorite crime drama is “Bosch”. It’s Amazon’s first drama and second show (“Transparent” is its first comedy). Kathy and I binge watched the first two seasons. The closest show to it, or rather it seems to draw from “24” with Kiefer. There are only ten episodes to the season and it’s about just one case.
That’s all that fits for a Sunday in May. I hope that you’ve enjoyed your weekend. See you soon. Same time. Same blog.

Somebody needs to send you a post card or something so you’ll have writing to put on your ‘fridge. 🙂
I used to get some of my grandkids drawings, but not as they got older…
I LOVE the Harry Bosch books!! I’m afraid to watch the show in case they deviate too much from the books.
That photo of you and your son is excellent!
Grrrrr WordPress.. As I was saying, a fifth grader wouldn’t have written this. They have better things to do!
And, by the way, your wife is gorgeous.
