1) What format did you start listening to music on? Vinyl. Nothing is better. When the first CDs came out I said while recording on WTIT, “You gotta be shitting me. It has less dynamics than LPs. So, they don’t get scratched. Treat vinyl right and it doesn’t either.” It took 15 years, but it was eventually conceded I was right. Now with the “remastering” you cannot beat a CD. And I’ve got over 15K songs on my iPod. I always wanted to own my radio station, I never thought I’d hold it in my pocket.
2) When was the last time you called in sick to work? Were you actually sick? At the end of October, I called my boss. I had severe nerve pain down my legs. My neurosurgeon (who had done four previous surgeries) said the MRI showed nothing. I asked for a leave of absence to find another doctor. One in Boston said he would not even see me if he thought he could not help. I mailed him my MRI. November 15th he operated. I awoke to no pain for the first time in 18 months. So, short story long, I really was sick. I returned to work on December 1st.
3) Would you rather be poor and work at a job you love or be rich and work at a job you hate? When I was younger that was a dilemma. I chose to be a poor DJ. I’d do it all over again. Hating a job is depressing and sucks. But rich buys you a lot more leisure happiness. So my friend Cataloger, but me down for a “I have no fucking idea.”
4) Show and Tell. What comes to mind first when you see this picture? Or, tell a story if it reminds you of one.
My take: When the aliens built there first their first prison, I thought “They said it was all for fun.” But when everyone was arrested, I got my ass out of town.
