1. Name three songs that remind you of specific people in your life. Explain who each reminds you of and why.
Cathy’s Clown by The Everly Brothers. Kind of self explanatory. Not that I actually feel that way, in fact quite the opposite. But when we first got serious, I played it a lot while we had breakfast.
The Boys Are Back in Town by Thin Lizzy. Though it was written about returning from war (originally titled GI Joe’s Back in Town) I think of it when my “boys” (WTIT DJs) record. It used to be very frequently, but since the turn of the century it’s more like a few times a years. So I open a lot of my Bud Weiser Radio Program shows with it.
I Want to Hold Your Hand by The Beatles. I remember the first time that I heard it. On this side of the pond it was their first hit. I remember actually thinking (at age 12) that the band was unique and very different. Little did I know how much they would impact my life and those for generations to come.
2) What one socially-unacceptable behavior do you REALLY wish we could make socially-acceptable? Live sex shows at restaurants. Now THAT would give Hooters a run for their money! Besides, I hear the the food at The Sex Palace is to die for.
3) Have you ever milked a cow? Ever tipped a cow? Cat., I’m from the northeast. We do have cows, but this isn’t the heartland. We had more important things to do like record Tape Radio shows.
4) Show and Tell. What comes to mind first when you see this picture? Or, tell a story if it reminds you of one.
My take: “It was his final resting spot. The world would forever mourn the loss of Mr. Rogers. Some say he was bigger than The Beatles.” (The same “some” are morons.)
We are never gonna
give you spiritual awareness.
