Welcome to Wednes d a y Wickedness on WTIT: The Blog. This meme appealed to us because of a twist in its concept. Each week Janera Jepson (its host) picks a celebrity. She digs up ten quotes from the person and asks her questions based on the quotes. Who would think someone would do something original? We didn’t see that coming. Anyway, she is a friend of Crazy Sam, so we are on board. Let’s do it. The quotes and meme questions are in bold.

Wednesday Wickedness: Stephen King

1. “I tend to scare myself…”

When was the last time you scared yourself? When I said, “I do” at my last wedding.

2. “Time heals all wounds…”

What was the longest it took you to recover from an illness, injury or surgery? I lost over a year due to multiple surgeries and a staph infection. Oh and in case you’re considering trying this: When people start asking you about your obit, it is never a good sign.

3. “Your first impulse is to share good news. Your second is to club someone over the head with it…”

What was the last good news you had to share? That I was going to have more time to work on that obit.

4. “When it comes to the past, we all stack the deck…”

Is there something in your past you speak highly of that was not so great while you were going through it? Losing my virginity to Spanish twins. I should have paid more attention in Spanish class. When dealing with a tender body part, you gotta choose your words carefully!

5. “Do you drink? Of course! I just said I was a writer!..”

What do you need to drink to do? Anything on days ending in ‘y”.

6. “If you liked being a teenager, then there’s something really wrong with you…”

What did you like about being a teenager? WTIT. We were only 15 when we recorded our first tape. A guy who recorded briefly with us in the 90s was fascinated by our start. He said, “We just were fucking around. You guys were doing something important.” I laughed when Sam Buca said that. “At the time, “ I countered, “We thought we were just fucking around.”

7. “Nobody likes a clown at midnight…”

What do you like at midnight? Hot sex. Hey, you asked!

8. “It is the tale, not he who told it…”

Who is your favorite teller of tales or jokes? I think Lewis Black is hysterically funny.

9. “The trust of the innocent is the liar’s most useful tool…”

Were you ever conned or fooled into a scam? Not by scams, but certainly by women.

10. “If fear cannot be articulated, then it can’t be conquered…”

What do you fear? Generally what time the husband comes home.

>Never mind that whole “Nobody likes a clown at midnight…” – some of us don't like clowns no matter what time of day it is and that was made even worse when I read Stephen King's "It"!
